| Catherine Thompson has been involved in the horse world for over 30 years. Having participated in a variety of the disciplines, from galloping at the racetrack, to breaking youngsters, to showing in Wellington and indoors, Catherine spends most of the time now focusing on the hunter/jumper world. Having grown up in MD, attending St. Timothy's School in the heart of the Greenspring Valley, MD, Catherine was fortunate to show ponies, fox hunt, event, vault, and move onto developing young stock to sell. During her college years at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, Catherine worked for 2 different farms in the area, buying and selling horses. After graduating summa cum laude with a BFA in Communication Arts and Design, Catherine continued on as an amateur, showing horses such as Savoir Faire from Wellington through to indoors in the Amateur Owner division, ending up reserve circuit champion at Littlewood that year. Catherine gave up her amateur status in 2005 and continues to develop, show and sell horses out of her own Haven Hill Farm in Warrenton, VA.
